ASL Penguin Pillow cover

A soft cuddly Penguin pillow cover. Perfect addition for a young child's bed. The fabric is minky. The back side is white minky. Pillowcase size - 22" x 12".

I made this design to explain how to sign "penguin" in ASL. I ordered a fat quarter to see how the design looks. (I have a shop at Spoonflower.com/profiles/marykane). I realized the black text is hard to see. (On Spoonflower - the text is now white - easier to read.) I didn't want this fabric to just sit in my studio doing nothing. And I'm not so great with the sewing machine. So I decided to try the knot type approach for blankets I learned from a video. Its a fat quarter - too small for a blanket - turns out it is a perfect size for a lumbar pillow. So here it is!

I think will look super cute on a child's bed. Great for snuggling in the soon to come winter months.
